Why We Do What We Do
The UnGroup Society is not a group of promoters, we don't hold parties or events without purpose. We believe that if you have an opportunity to draw thousands of people into one space that it is our OBLIGATION to deliver messages, resources and information of substance. This year our event will draw attention to youth violence prevention and understanding how the effects of internet use and validation through social media are driving unproductive behaviors in our young people. Throughout this event we will provide families with information and opportunities to network with community resources, mentors and families that will be able to support one another throughout the year to help with their journey to healing and engage young people with positive outlets.
Acknowledgements
- During the evening we will make a space for families who have suffered loss to come together in the moment and be a village for the city. We will seek to create a new way to see one another and appreciate the value of life again All this in addition to providing Waterbury with a quality concert with good music and great food, giving small businesses vending opportunities in the park and attracting an influx of patrons from surrounding areas to The City of Waterbury to support our local area businesses. At the end of the day, we always look to have a memorable weekend filled with music, education, laughter and fun for all our attendees in a friendly, safe and wholesome environment. Come and enjoy yourself but never let the message be lost. Let all that we do together inspire positive action.
